Cedar, oak and ragweed seasons push fine pollen into the house through doors, windows and the HVAC system, where it settles on window sills, baseboards, ceiling fan blades, vent covers and the tops of door casings. During those stretches we shift emphasis to exactly those surfaces, using HEPA-filtered vacuums and damp microfiber rather than dry dusting, which just moves pollen from one surface to another.
