Yes, and it changes the approach. Well water out on the FM roads is typically harder than city supply and often carries iron, which leaves orange or brown staining on sinks, tubs and toilets that ordinary cleaner will not touch. We use a dedicated descaler and, where the staining is iron rather than calcium, a product formulated for it. Some staining is etched into the glaze and no longer removable, and we will tell you when that is the case.
